Here is an update to the Diamond Valley Christmas Light-up in Black Diamond, AB on November 27, 2010. It has expanded! It has become a two day event involving both the Towns of Turner Valley and Black Diamond. This should surely get you into the Christmas spirit. The event begins on Friday, November 26th, 4:30pm-8:30pm, at the Flare & Derrick, on Main Street in Turner Valley, AB, with a Christmas Market, featuring local crafts, artisans, kitchen creations and lots of food. It opens again on Saturday from 10:00am-4:00pm and offers childminding. Family activities include visiting with Santa, wagon rides, ice skating and much more. Children can mail their letters off to Santa as well. Donations to the Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. At 5:00pm, make your way over to Black Diamond, where the whole town will turn on the Christmas lights at the same time. Santa will arrive, as well as his pettable reindeer.  Live Christmas music and carolers will be all about town. Horse drawn wagons will transport one and all around to see the lights and visit the different shopping districts.  Merchants will stay open late with offerings of goodies, specials and Light-up Passports providing a chance to win some great gifts.
